Aereoplane Band Rehearsals SPPS TUT REEL #32: 01. Molly & Tenbrooks 02. Banter/Warm-up 03. Old Post Office Down at the General Store 04. Instrumental (Sally Ann?) Notes: The reel appears to be a BASF tape. The tape is a 7.5 inch per second quarter track Master recording per the label on the reel. There is only about eight minutes of music on this reel. Because the reel suffered from sticky shed syndrome (also known as binder breakdown) commonly found on reel to reel tape manufactured in the 1970s to early 1980s, it was necessary to bake the reel before it could be played. The reel was baked at 145 degrees F for about six hours. The reel was played on a modified Revox A77 reel-to-reel machine with a Reutelhuber custom designed and built tape head preamplifier incorporating 2003 era technology and components including all metal film resistors, polypropelene coupling capacitors, and low ESR electrolytic supply bypass capacitors. The resulting analog signal was digitized by a Mytek Digital 8X96 analog to digital converter using Steinberg Nuendo as the recording software and saved as a 24 bit 48 kHz wave file. Post processing and mixing was done by William Reutelhuber with Nuendo using the following Waves Plugins: Q4, Q10, C4, Rverb, and L2. The file was dithered down to a 16 bit/44.1kHz wave file for additional editing between songs to remove dead space. Enjoy! Tracked by Tom Jackson
